At work, and bored

So this week pretty much dragged on and on and on and...well, you get the point. So I had to come into work at 4am today. Yeah. Not fun. But I get to go to church with the girls, which I haven't done since the summer. So I guess I'm kind of excited. Anyway, I decided while I was sitting here being bored, I'd post something, because, honestly, what else is there to do at 6am? Oh, right. Sleep! Too bad I can't. So, to keep me awake I've been working on figuring this blog thing out. I figured out how to get a cute new background and actually make it show up on my profile. I'll be honest, it took me two tries for it to actually show up. But it worked! Yay!

So Friday, I got rear ended. And now I have a hole in the back bumper of my car. I was turning left onto first west, but the light was red, so obviously I couldn't go. The guy that hit me was yelling at his wife and kids, and thought I had gone and then tried to go himself, but I was still blocking his way. I got out and looked at the damage, and was not exactly happy about the situation. As the guy got out of his SUV, he slammed his door and said something about hating distractions and all I could think was "please be nice to me!" Thankfully he was. We got the police report, etc, and now the insurance is taking care of it.

On the bright side, I went to the dance at the institute that night and had tons of fun. It was a 50s dance and Elise and I had made skirts for it. Well, Elise made both of our skirts, as I'm unskilled in the sewing area. But they were fantastic, and twirled very well when dancing. :) We both also tried speed dating for the first time that night. That was interesting. But fun. I got to meet a lot of new guys, but who knows if I'll even see any of them again. Yesterday, I spent the day at home with Mom and Dad. That was exciting. Dad fixed the brakes on my car (yay!) and Mom and I went bridesmaid dress shopping. I've been looking for a dress for Lacey's wedding for months now, and finally found one. :D I'm pretty excited for it too; it's one I've wanted for a couple of years now, but never had a reason to pay $200 for it. But we found it cheaper at Modest by Design, and I have a reason to have it now, so Mom is ordering it for me on Tuesday. I'll find a picture of it and post it....eventually. So that's life up here for me. Nothing terribly exciting. Maybe that'll change soon...who knows.
